National Operations Manager (Permanent position based in Centurion) SA Citizens only

The main function of the job is to oversee, lead and develop all TrenStar Depots and On-Site facilities to operational success and profitability with management responsibility across the functional areas of operations maintenance, risk management and employee development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages and directs the depot operating plans for all own and on-site locations that maximise revenue and profit within planned objectives.
Monitors the local markets and performance against plan and influences performance improvement along with procedures and standards, as appropriate, to maximise profits.
Overseas direction and guidance to all management and staff in depot operations.
Conducts quarterly reviews for the locations.
In conjunction with the COO and Business Development and Client Liaison is responsible for fleet to ensure proper fleet levels to achieve business plan.
Supervises, trains, develops, motivates and evaluates the performance of the depot managers.
Establishes, communicates, monitors and updates objectives for operational staff consistent with company goals and objectives.
Coaches staff and prepares them for current and future business demands.
Works closely with the Divisional Manager on rental contracts and agreements and new areas of growth opportunities.
Directs depot management to meet and exceed standards, specifically depot performance, fleet maintenance, sales, customer service and safety risk management.
Supervises, trains, develops, motivates and evaluates the performance of the depot managers.
Extensive local travel required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Gr.12, relevant tertiary qualification.
Experience in depot operations, logistics, warehousing or fleet management.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Senior Management role with direct incumbents at various levels and locations.
Strong project management skills.
Self-motivated, high energy level, detail oriented, and very organised.
Detailed knowledge of HR Legal requirements, Labour Law and governing Policies and Procedures.
